OOTD: The Pieces I Can’t Live Without Featuring Andrea

How would you describe your personal style and beauty vibe?

I would describe my personal style as modern minimalistic chic.

Are there specific brands you always gravitate toward? Why?

Besides style, right now comfort is very important to me so I find myself gravitating towards brands that are stylish and cool but also carry clothes that are comfortable. Some of my favorite brands are Glowny, because they have some of the best and most comfortable basics I’ve ever worn, as well as cool statement pieces. Another brand I enjoy is a brand called Langer, because they also have a lot of clothes that are comfortable yet cool and fashion-forward. I’m also a big fan of more luxury brands but unfortunately that’s a bit out of my tax bracket right now haha!

How does working at HERA influence your style or beauty choices?

Working at HERA has definitely made me more interested in makeup, specifically lip products. I used to be a person who never wore anything other than lip balm and now I carry at least 8 different lip glosses in my bag.

A big debate: do you build your outfits starting from clothing or makeup or hair?

I build my outfits starting from my clothes definitely. I love clothes and fashion so that always comes first. I actually don’t do anything too complicated with my makeup and hair, I focus more on my clothes, bags, shoes and accessories.

What is the piece or product you can’t live without?

My number one item I cannot live without is my glasses. Mainly because I’m blind (my eyesight is really bad) but also because it has become such a staple for me, especially my Gentle Monster jewellery collection glasses. I feel like that has almost become my signature item.

How do you usually style or use it?

I usually style them with more of a sleek style, usually when I wear black or other monochrome colours. Or if I want to make a more basic outfit look a bit more interesting.

Do you usually plan your OOTD content, or do you capture it more spontaneously when you love an outfit?

I usually don’t plan, I’m a major mbti “P”, I kind of just go with it, so when I have an outfit that I like I decide on the spot to just film it. Usually when I actually plan I end up thinking too much about it and it doesn’t turn out as good as I hoped, haha.

Is there a specific detail you always include (styling, angle, accessory) that makes your OOTDs instantly recognizable?

I don’t think I have any specific detail I always include but I always try to combine contrasting pieces of clothing. So for example, if I wear baggy jeans, I tend to wear a tighter top and vice versa. Or if I wear a more masculine outfit, I tend to pair it with kitten heels or more feminine accessories/shoes.

What is one advice you would give to people that haven’t yet found their signature style?

I think my advice to anyone trying to find their own personal style is to just keep experimenting, and that the most important thing is that you should feel comfortable in what you wear and that you feel like you can express yourself to the fullest. You will look the best when you feel the best.
