My Journey as a Creator with Mini
The Path That Shaped My Career
I’ve been creating content since 2020, but my story actually started in the most unexpected way. During the COVID lockdown, I was at home bored when I kept seeing the same TikTok ads over and over—people doing the finger dance. It looked fun, easy, and honestly, like something I could try myself. So I filmed my first video, which was originally aimed at the Korean community. But after two or three uploads, I realized something interesting: there were already so many Korean and English creators, but barely any creators speaking Spanish who shared Korean culture.
That’s when everything clicked. I thought maybe I could create content for the Spanish-speaking community—people who could understand Korean culture through a language they felt comfortable with. I wanted to build a bridge between the two worlds that raised me.
I started with dance and lifestyle videos, but over time, beauty content became my main focus. It felt honest to talk about skincare, makeup, and especially my own struggles with acne. I’ve always believed that it’s important to show myself as I truly am because acne is natural, human, and nothing to hide. If my skin journey can help even one person feel less alone, then I want to keep sharing it.
One of the most memorable moments in my journey happened recently. I was at an event when I received an award from TikTok. After all these years of creating content, this was the very first official recognition I had ever received—and it happened at a Korean event, which made it even more meaningful. In that moment, I felt a wave of pride, not because of the award itself, but because I realized how far I had come by simply not giving up. The support of my family, my boyfriend, and my followers has carried me through every season, and I never take that for granted.
Outside of content creation, I’m also finishing my psychology degree at Korea University, and my next personal goal is to continue my master’s studies in Spain. As a creator, I want to keep growing in beauty content, sharing real tips for acne-prone skin, and continuing to embrace authenticity—because the online world needs more of it.
If I could leave one message for anyone who wants to start creating, it would be this: the hardest part is simply starting. Taking that first step feels scary because you think everyone is judging you. But once you begin, you realize that doing something you genuinely want is worth so much more than those fears. These days, even the smallest talent or interest can inspire someone else. You never know who might connect with your story—so just start. That first step is already half the journey.
